Ovacik is a very popular area located between Oludeniz and the beautiful town of Fethiye.
Set on the hillside of Babadag Mountain it is very popular with British ex-pats and Turkish people alike and features many restaurants, cafes,
markets and supermarkets. Ovacik is also close to Faralya.
Ovacik is much quieter than the neighboring Hisaronu holiday tourist resort where the main street comes alive at night.
Excellent public transport with the local Dolmus (public transport) running every 5 minutes.
Ovacik has a few restaurants and shops that stay open all year round but the majority close from late October to early April.
This does not pose a problem though due to Ovacik’s location, so it’s easy to get out and about.
Ovacik is also a popular European destination for paragliding with many traveling across the globe to take part and
have a go at jumping off Babadag mountain.
A main attraction on the Oludeniz side is a stunning Butterfly Valley with many species of butterflies calling this valley home,
it’s located between two isolated canyons that border the seashore. Both valleys have beautiful waterfalls and
