I live with my husband, a native of Merida, our young son and daughter and a family of 4 kitties, in a colonial house we restored on the southwest side of the Centro Historico. Our home is a 15 minute walk from the center of downtown, and our neighborhood is full of places to shop and eat, parks to stroll in and local culture to soak up. We have two rooms for rent in our home which we have named Casa Misterio: the Balcony Room in the main house, and the Casita, detached from the house and nestles behind the pool. We are both trained chefs, so our kitchen is fully equipped to whip up anything you might find in the central market. We have a beautiful pool and many lounging areas, wifi and bikes you are welcome to use. We want our guests to feel like they are friends come to stay awhile.
