Neighbourhood

The neighborhood (or 'quartiere') is called Monte Sacro and it spreads around the tree-lined banks of the Aniene, a river spanned by the centuries-old, castlelike Ponte Nomentano bridge and edged by a cycling path. Trails cross the green area of Parco delle Valli, which includes a playground and running track. In addition to all the green space nearby, there are lots of restaurants and coffee bars but the neighborhood is still quiet and away from the tourist areas (but still only about a 25 minute metro ride to the Colosseum for example).
