Once the stomping grounds of ashore sailors seeking romance and adventure, this penthouse apartment has 400 years of history to its name. The half-timbering style pays homage to its heritage, but the rest of the design is contemporary. Layout-wise, it's quite quirky – the bedrooms have glass walls, the bathroom has two showers and two toilets, and two guests will sleep on the sofa bed. It's also on the third floor of a building without a lift. But the location is hard to beat. The picturesque Nyhavn waterfront is steps away. There's also a cafe in the courtyard downstairs, perfect for a laid-back coffee.
*At full capacity, two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the living area.
*The bathroom layout is a little quirky. The WC has two individual toilets and a shared sink, while the separate shower room has two shower cubicles. With eleven guests sharing, it may be a bit tight.
*This apartment is on the third floor of a building without a lift. You'll have to climb a lot of stairs here – it won't be suitable for those with limited mobility.
*Three bedrooms are divided from the living area by glass walls. They have curtains for privacy. All the super king-sized beds can be split into two singles upon request.
*Your host can provide a cot and high chair for little ones upon request.
*The lead guest must be at least 23 years old.
*Given the central location, some noise is to be expected.
*The building is accessed through a communal courtyard, which has a cafe.
