The vast window in this apartment's living room beautifully frames the Tiber, and the willows that line its banks. There’s also a balcony, allowing you to get even closer to the river. It shouldn’t be underestimated just how special a view like this is. The flat itself is characterful but well-kept. We're big fans of the quirky touches, including cowprint chairs and the entryway's bronze bust statue. There’s also a bit of noise from the road below, but that comes from being only a five-minute walk from the heart of the action. If you're after a cosy base for sightseeing, this is it.

*There's a good amount of traffic passing below so some noise reaches the flat.
*The kitchen is compact. We think it's best for rustling up light bites.
