Lazio might not get the plaudits of Tuscany or Umbria, but it's still a beautiful region of Italy – just look at the hilltop views from this home's excellent outdoor space, which offers both a dining terrace and swimming pool to keep visitors happy during the warmer months. The home itself used to be a stable and while there's none of the period charm you often find with restored buildings, we think that it's a solid – if slightly unremarkable – place to rest your head for a week or two.
