My 3 friends and I spent the bank holiday weekend at the Coach house and loved it. The coach house is very well equipped and we enjoyed cooking on the range. There are plenty of games to play if the weather turns bad but we walked into Innellan and spent time in the local pubs which were both friendly and welcoming. We also ventured further afield to the Botanical Gardens which is worth a visit. The only downside was a couple of issues with the plumbing which due to the holiday weekend we persevered with using one of the bathrooms.

This rental is everything it says it is but with the added extras of rising damp and mould on walls and curtains. Odour is not nice. Photographs taken and complaints made to owner but they refused to acknowledge responsibility.

My family and i spent 4 nights here. As the title of this review suggests we were delighted with it. The property itself is quaint and quirky yet surprisingly spacious. It is very well equipped with all the amenities you could want on a short break. It is set in an idyllic location and although at the bottom of the driveway is technically a main road you would never know as it is so quiet, guaranteeing a peaceful nights sleep, waking up every morning to find yourself looking across the water is a delight. We had one or two email interactions with the owner during our stay. She clearly cares that you enjoy your stay and was happy to make allowances for an unfortunate situation which arose during our stay without a second thought. All in all the Coach House really is a hidden gem and i will be giving a future stay some very serious consideration. 11/10

We stayed for 8 nights and really enjoyed our stay . Lovely big kitchen , all you need to cook . Nice bathroom . Good size living room with nice big settees and tv . Patio doors out towards sea views and a garden . Walk over road to a small beach to take our dog for a walk . Our dog loved it . Very comfortable . Pub 1.5 miles up the road royal villagers lets dogs in . Do food . Dunoon is lovely . Nice shops . Strone has a nice dog friendly pub.( Strone inn ). Also holy loch inn at sandbanks dose nice food and lets dogs inn . Ardentinny has nice beach for dog walks . Lots of walks around their sign posted .Benmore botanical gardens lets dogs in . Good area for a holiday with your dog . So it was great in a really lovely holiday home . Photos are of beach outside when tide is out and ardentinny beach .

Four of us plus dog stayed for 5 nights. I was surprised to realise this is an apartment with upstairs neighbors but this was not a problem. Right by the sea, very quiet and generally well equipped. The rooms are quite small- each double bed has one side against a wall- but big enough for our needs. Great that there is decent broadband and some board games but the weather was so good we didn’t need to occupy ourselves. The Villagers Royal does great food and very welcoming and we saw seals at the lighthouse at Towards, which became a regular haunt and loved by our kids. Very quiet and relaxing few days. Couple of minor areas could benefit from attention (one shower head held in place by an elastic fastener and a cupboard door needing some attention) and the relatively tight bedrooms the only reason not to give 5 stars.

Good location with good views over Firth of Clyde. Accommodation ok with well equipped kitchen. Sadly, immediately on entering the house,we were hit by a strong smell of damp and mould, which was present the whole time we were there,despite having the door open a lot of the time.Plenty of stunning mountains and loch views around.

Overall the property isn’t too bad, scoring highly on location, proximity to a very interesting beach, views and a generally well equipped kitchen. I would have liked a balloon whisk, some decent readable measuring jugs and a set of modern scales - the old style tippy scales with lbs and oz was fun for about 10 seconds and then really annoying when the family are screaming for breakfast pancakes. As has been reported by others, we were hit every time we entered the property after having been away for several hours by a whiff of damp/mould. And yet there is no visual sign of this anywhere. It was not noticeable after being in the property for a few minutes and didn’t really penetrate into the other rooms, just the kitchen - weird!! Generally this didn’t bother us too much. Anyway, the property is warm and cosy and I do mean cosy, especially the bedrooms. Again not an issue, they are just a place to sleep and are big enough for that. The master bathroom is very nice with a decent shower and separate bath, no complaints there at all. The biggest issue for us were the beds. The master bedroom (with en suite) has a bed that is soft but just about ok according to the occupant, however the double in the second bedroom is ridiculously soft and unsupportive - on checking it is an old metal frame bed with two old mattresses on top. Worse still in the third bedroom there is a small double sized sofa bed that is frankly shot - not fit for purpose. I'm sorry to be direct but there is no excuse for there not being a proper bed in that room, but if it must be a sofa bed it needs to be top notch. Our 10 year old daughter who is a slip of a lass was complaining because the mattress and springs are so unsupportive that she could feel the structural cross bars underneath. She was nearly sinking out of sight. The other disappointment was the TV. Now, I don’t go to Scotland intending to watch TV, but you may be aware that it can on occasion rain - a lot - for a long time. There is no excuse for a tiny 24" TV circa 2000 with an appalling picture. Brand new decent size smart TVs are cheap as chips these days, so again there is no excuse for not having something half decent. Overall if it hadn’t been for the beds I would have scored this property 4 - throw in a decent TV with a bit of updating to one or two other aspects and it would be a 5. Would I return - yes but only if I knew for sure that the beds as a minimum had been sorted.
