Huize 't Pott has been a student house since 1968. With its rich history dating back to 1880, Huize 't Pott is not only a student house but also an iconic building for the city of Enschede. This former textile villa now provides luxurious accommodation for eight active and enterprising students. This luxury is reflected in, among other things, the spacious rooms, each at least 20 square meters. Our house also boasts a generous living room with its own bar and fireplace. Besides a large sitting area, there's also room for our pool table and movie theater. We also have two kitchens and two bathrooms, and at least one jacuzzi. Besides all these tangible benefits, it's precisely the intangible that makes this house so special. The strong bond that each resident has with each other, as well as with former residents, makes us live here as a close-knit group of friends. We participate in fun activities together every week. We also have connections, both within and outside of Enschede, with many houses and student societies. This often leads to lively get-togethers. Besides the great atmosphere, we also pay close attention to each other's studies and encourage them. Because we each have our own homework, responsibility is something that is certainly evident at Huize 't Pott. This responsibility is also reflected every year in the largest student house gala in the Netherlands, 't Pott Gala. We organize this traditional gala entirely ourselves, together with the help of former residents, in and around our house.
