If you are looking to stay a little longer than your average traveler or are moving to the island and need somewhere to crash, you cannot go far wrong with this lovely studio.
The studio is part of a larger home perched on a hill very close to town.
I must note that you should get a moped if your going to be staying here as although you can walk into town there is no bus routes near by.
The studio is clean and well equipped although there is no cooking facilities there is a microwave and toaster.
All linen is clean and the WIFI is pretty good.
If your here for a romantic holiday I would go to a nice hotel and get all the trimmings although the views are something else. However if your here on business or settling in or perhaps visiting friends for a few weeks then I would highly recommend this place to stay.
We have thoroughly enjoyed it and felt very much at home.

The pictures posted do not do this place justice. The view is stunning, the setting is gorgeous and the room is perfect for one person. The owner is a genuinely a nice person and on ,y first night there took me to the city of Hamilton to show me where the shops were to get me started. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Bermuda. My retreat was strictly for myself to regain peace of mind and to see the beauty theat Bermuda holds. I highly recommend the accommodations and would definitely stay again.

We had a week (Monday, October 20th - Monday, October 27th) of wonderful accommodations and great room views while in Bermuda.
Our host, Scott arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the airport and he was a wonderful host always available to answer any questions.
Arriving only three days after Hurricane Gonzalo (Friday, October 17th) was unfortunate for our first visit to Bermuda since the island’s vegetation suffered so much damage but we made the best of it and saw as much of the island as possible during our stay.
It was about 1.68 mile walk into Hamilton, so we walked most of the week to town and often took a taxi back to our apartments after being out all day.
It was nice to have some morning coffee provided and basic kitchen appliances for our use in the rooms.
After being out all day it felt good to come back to a relaxing evening of bread, wine and cheese we purchased as we played cards with our friends who rented the next door apartment that shared a common balcony with the “awesome views”.
We hope to come again someday and stay at the same place during the winter possibly when it is less hot and humid and not hurricane season.

I flew into Bermuda while my friends/crew raced in as part of the Newport-Bermuda Yacht Race. So I spent time alone - it is quiet and safe. When my S.O. joined me, it is romantic to enjoy the amazing views together.
Scott, the host is very thoughtful and provided lots of amenities - lovely bath robes, coffee, sugar, tea all for you to just relax and not to have to run to the store (too much).
It is about 3 miles to downtown/ Royal Bermuda Yacht Club, where our boat was. I walked down in the morning twice, took taxis several times ($15-$20 USD), and I eventually rented a moped. It may not be one of those "downtown" walkable places, but you are in Bermuda, take advantage of the views - it is not something you get from those downtown lodgings. You come to Bermuda for the natural beauty, not to "walk to the restaurants and shops". This is a place that you can totally relax and recharge.
I enjoyed my stay so much I am coming back in 2 years - 2016 Newport-Bermuda Race.

I'm almost afraid to write the glowing review that this property deserves. It's such an amazing value with quite possibly the best views in Bermuda, and the accommodations themselves are very well kept and comfortable.
I've been going to Bermuda for 30 years, staying at a variety of properties, and this one absolutely takes the cake. The owner is supremely accommodating and friendly. The location is ideally suited in a quiet residential area on Hamilton Harbor, but within walking distance of the restaurants, shops, and businesses of Bermuda's capital city.
Our unit was on a corner, so we woke up in the morning to a wide window view of the island, and then we'd sit on the porch around the corner for more lovely views of the harbor. With a scooter, it's easy enough to get around (although I'm not certain of the public transportation options in this area - but it's easy enough to get a cab or walk about a mile to the buses).
Bermuda is beautiful and friendly all over, but this property could very well be the most beautiful and friendly part of it. I'll be back every time I come to Bermuda (I just hope it remains available and affordable - hence my fear of the glowing review!).

My wife and I stayed for 8 days in the Dalvay apartment at Awesome View. Scott was as friendly a host as you could hope for, and the apartment was very nice, comfortable and spacious. The name "awesome view" is very appropriate, and we enjoyed sitting outside on the wraparound balcony to enjoy the nearly 270-degree panoramic view of the Great Sound and surrounding terrain as often as possible, especially on mornings and for spectacular sunsets. You can see from Gibbs Lighthouse to the Dockyard and beyond. Incredible.
Our vacation strategy is always to take the typical jam-packed 3 or 4 day itinerary of the average traveler and stretch it out over 8 days or more so that the vacation is more relaxing and enjoyable. In the case of Awesome View, I highly recommend such a strategy. Our relaxed schedule of activities along with the Dalvay's full kitchen allowed us to maximize our relaxation time at the amazingly appointed apartment while still allowing for plenty of time to check out downtown Hamilton, the Dockyard and many beautiful beaches.
When not enjoying our balcony, we would open ALL of the windows, the sliding glass door and the entry door for an amazing cross-breeze. The entry door was the key piece of the puzzle to maximize the cross-breeze, as leaving it shut did not generate nearly the same level of cross-breeze. This prevented us from using the air conditioner at all during the daytime. We only turned it on at night, and as soon as we woke up in the morning we'd switch it off and open everything back up. I can't speak on the cross-breeze potential of the other apartments at Awesome View, but it was truly sublime at the Dalvay.
The sounds of the morning birds and the nightly frogs are also fondly unforgettable, including the cardinal that lives in the top of the large Norfolk Island Pine (aka our "sunblock" due to the shade it provided). Scott also has a small dock where there are kayaks available to guests to use for free. The dock is a very short and easy walk from the house, just a couple of minutes.
There is a small grocery store that is about a 15-minute walk away, called The Garden Market, I think. It had everything we needed, so no need to go all the way into Hamilton for the larger stores. I personally recommend taking a taxi there instead of walking, as the walk is "uphill both ways." The slightly hilly terrain would not be welcome with more than a couple of grocery bags in tow. Or perhaps you might want to take a walk to the market, but then return via taxi. We were fortunate enough to have Scott drive us to the market, wait for us and drive us back. He said he likes to drive his guests into Hamilton, to the market or some sort of that at least once as a courtesy to help the guests get their bearings.
The walk into Hamilton took us about 40 minutes, although that probably would have been less if we knew exactly where we were going. The roads can be a bit tricky in spots. We didn't get lost, but we had to consult our maps app a few times to make sure we were following the correct route. We had no interest in renting or driving scooters on those narrow and hilly streets, so our preference became to get around by taxi. Luckily, the first taxi we called on our first night in town ended up being amazingly reliable and friendly throughout our entire stay. Calvelette with C&C Cab Services (441-504-1591) was extremely dependable whenever we needed a ride. She lives in a nearby neighborhood, so if we managed to catch her at the right time, the wait was very short. Which was every time in our case. She has a few other drivers including Richard, who was also quite friendly and dependable for our returns back to the apartment later at night.
Although the bus service was excellent for getting around the island from Hamilton, there is no bus service to or within the extravagant Point Shares neighborhood where the house/apartment is. Thus, having a cab service be so reliable and friendly helped make our stay stress-free. If the lack of bus service sounds inconvenient, it is truly worth it in spades to have your own piece of Bermudian serenity versus sharing those mega-resorts with hundreds if not thousands of other vacationers.
We can't wait to get back to Bermuda and get back to the Dalvay at Awesome View. We have no reason to consider staying anywhere else in Bermuda, and we wholeheartedly recommend staying there to all with no hesitation.

The apartment has fantastic views and the owner Scott couldn't be more helpful. There is a 20 minute walk into Hamilton where you can jump on a bus easily. Great for couples looking to relax & explore the Island.

We had a great two week vacation in Bermuda. Summerside apartment is just as advertised and the view is truly awesome. Even on inclement days it was lovely to just sit in and enjoy the view from our large picture window. Our host Scott lives on the property which is a real plus (especially when we needed to make a wine run during a gale!). We chose to walk the half hour into Hamilton and back most days and from there catch a bus or ferry to other parts of the island to explore (buy tickets at the tourist information office or bus station in town). Taxis are also readily available. Get the map and accompanying information booklet from the tourist information office - these were invaluable for our many walks about the island. We recommend Miles Grocery on Pitts Bay Road for delicious gourmet ready made meals and the Garden Grocery on Serpentine for other supplies. We also enjoyed several lunches at the Hog Penny pub on Burnaby Street.

We would definitely recommend and return to stay at the Awesome View and were delighted that it truly lived up to its name.
It was clean, comfortable, centrally located and Scott had it well stocked with coffee, tea, sugar, S & P, coffee filters, an umbrella, beach reading and beach towels, bathrobes, TV, microwave, coffee maker, small fridge, toaster oven & sink.
There’s an umbrella table for four on the balcony to use as well.
We chose to get around by scooter & taxi without problem and Scott provides his guests with business cards for taxi and himself with the address of Awesome View to carry in your wallet in case you’re out and require a taxi.
Thank you Scott for your hospitality during our stay; we made many fond memories on the island.

Probably the most appropriately named guest house in Bermuda. The units all have captivating views of Bermuda’s Great Sound while being very convenient to Hamilton’s business district. Scott is a very gracious host and I recommend his Awesome Views units very highly.

Wow! We couldn't have picked a better place to suit our needs. It is spectacularly beautiful from the balcony, almost no need to go anywhere. However, Hamilton is 1/2 hour walk, and the nearest grocery is 15 minutes away. We used the kayaks for day and evening exploring. Scott is an excellent steward to Bermuda. He has an in-depth knowledge of the island way.

An amazing value with some of the best views in Bermuda.
The accommodations are kept very clean and our rental was recently renovated with a brand new kitchen and appliances, including a fridge, stove, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. The kitchen is well stocked with coffee, tea, sugar, S & P, and coffee filters.
There are plenty of bath and beach towels available and a hairdryer. There are kayak’s available to use for exploring the area. As there is one road in and out of the area, walking is very safe with lots of hills to satisfy your exercise needs.
Scott, the owner is very friendly and extremely accommodating. The location is ideally suited in a quiet residential area on Hamilton Harbor, but within walking distance (about ½ hour) of the restaurants, stores, and businesses of Bermuda's capital city. The location is ideally suited for adults only.
Awesomeview has a wide view of the island, and sitting on the porch either with coffee in the morning or an evening beverage afforded us the tranquility we craved while enjoying a beautiful sunrise or sunset. You can watch the ferry and cruise ships entering and leaving Hamilton Harbour, viewing Gibbs lighthouse and the Dockyards in the distance.
There is electrical charging statues for the new Twizzy, as well as a garage to park your rental scooters and it is very easy to get around the island on either. Taxis services the location and you can catch the local bus in Hamilton to get to other areas of the island or the ferry service.
Thank you Scott for opening up your beautiful home to give us a little taste of your paradise.

I cannot speak highly enough about the Awesome View Apartment and Scott, the owner. First, the apartment is well-appointed with everything a couple might need for a short or extended stay. The terrace, dock, and use of kayaks were all hugs perks. We were endlessly amused watching the turtles! Second, the neighborhoodwith its beautiful homes and flower-lined streets was quite impressive. The fact that you could walk to all of Hamilton’s restaurants and shops was convenient. Finally, Scott is was a great host. He gave us lots of recommendations and even drove us downtown the first afternoon to help familiarize us with the area. Highly recommend Awesome View Apartments!

We recently took our first trip to Bermuda, and one of our favorite parts was this wonderful apartment. We stayed in the Summerside room, and it was perfect for two people - it has a modern kitchen, big bathroom, very clean and comfortable accommodations.
The best part was being able to hang out on the deck that overlooks the water - you can see the ferries coming to and from Hamilton and the Dockyards! We'd relax with either a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night, and it was perfect. Great location as well - easy to walk into bustling Hamilton (about 25 min on foot) however because it's a residential area, it's also a very picturesque escape. It's pretty central on the island overall, so we were able to see much of the island without hassle. There's also a private dock with sea kayaks that you can take out!
Scott was a superb host, very hospitable and made our stay a great one. He's extremely knowledgable about the island and was helpful whenever we had questions.
Would absolutely recommend - it's a perfect spot if you're looking to have a more authentic Bermuda experience. We plan to come back!!

Scott is the perfect host! The apartment (Summerside) was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed getting to know Cal and Cal as we used their taxi service every day for a ride into Hamilton for dinner. It's worth knowing that Scott has a Twizy charging point in the garage (the scooters were a little too challenging for us). Best of all is the, you got it, awesome view! Out on the patio every morning for breakfast, and every evening after dinner just to sit and enjoy it. Also, Point Shares was an unexpectedly nice and quiet location since it is almost entirely residential. A truly wonderful vacation!

My boyfriend Tony and I spend a week for Christmas at Scott's place, Awesome View and had an amazing time. Scott was a great host! He arranged for transportation to and from the airport, took us into town when we arrived on Cristmas Eve to show us around and was available to answer all questions. He also surprised us with a gift waiting for us on Christmas Day. That was such a lovely surprise, Scott! Thank you!
We stayed in the Summerside studio apartment, which was great. It was spacious, clean, well equipped and overall, perfect for us. The views from the apartment and the porch are stunning!!! Better than the pictures! We enjoyed having breakfast on our porch and taking in the beauty around it. The place is located in a quiet, safe, and exclusive neighborhood. It is close to town (30 minutes leisurely walk), bus and ferry terminal. Loved our morning walks down the hill through this beautiful neighborhood. We already miss Bermuda and this place and without a doubt will be coming back to Awesome View.
